A car is travelling at 30 m/s and takes 10 seconds to acceleration to a new speed of 35 m/s.  What is its acceleration? 

Use v = u + at

35 m/s = 30 m/s  + a x 10 s

10 a = 35 - 30 = 5 m/s

a = 0.5 m/s²
