Physics Module 4 Overview
Waves, Fields, and Nuclear Energy
This is a very long module that covers a great deal of different topics in Physics, which can appear as rather disparate. In the exam, the only way they can examine the large amount of material is to have a number of multiple choice questions in Section A, then the more normal type of short answer questions in Section B.
Topics 1 - 6 are related as Circular Motion and Oscillations are linked to SHM and Waves are a result of oscillations. They look at how waves are made up and how they interact with each other.
Topics 7 - 10 are to do with Force Fields. They look at magnetic, electric and gravity fields.
Topics 11 - 12 are about Nuclear Physics. They explore how energy is released from unstable nuclei and how this can be harnessed.
