Explain two ways in which CAD is
used in a modern engineering company.
The
engineer can use CAD for:
- design
work. The design can be manipulated using the computer;
- computer
modelling. The design is subjected to various tests by the computer
and the results recorded;
- dissemination
of the design. The images can be transferred to presentation graphics
software.
- Pass
the design file for CAM. The computer controlled machines use the file
to machine the design from raw materials.
