How else is it useful to monitor software usage?

Useful results from monitoring software usage:

• If there are more copies of the software being used than is allowed for in the licence, then the licence needs to be changed;
• Monitoring whether the software is performing as it claims to;
• Assessing whether the software is using more resources than it should do;
• In the event of a software crash, looking at the software behaviour just before the crash.
• Assessing whether all functions are working.
